I’ve made a move to Australia where I will be living and working for a while.
I’ve already begun work on a secret WordPress site for a friend in education.
Can’t say too much more until it takes shape and occupies its own domain.
I’ll keep you all posted about it.
Before I left England I made some progress with RM Carpentry and Building as well as Perfectly Clean but Simple. Check them out and let me know what you think so far.

Well i’m still going with http://www.rmcarpentryandbuilding.com as I haven’t had an opportunity to meet with the owner re. content and design.

However, I’ve got him linked up with Adwords, Analytics as well as some advertising on Yell.com, iHertfordshire and Facebook.

Simplicity and clean lines is the idea.

Slowly Slowly…

Well I’ve been a little bit slow recently in terms of progress, but have got some pleasing results.

Firstly, www.vluk.org is coming along nicely with many new photos and content additions.

www.spur.co.uk Has a new look front page but I’m still not happy with it. I’ve got to meet with the owner to decide upon colours, content and design.

I’ve begun work on Hertford building/carpentry firm RM Carpentry and Building. Still plenty to do but it’s only an empty shell so far.
Better quality pictures are coming as well as information regarding colours and content.

Virtual Learning

Well I’m still working on the spur.co.uk website although a meeting with the owners needs to occur before decisions about content and structure happens.

On the other hand, swift progress is being made on www.vluk.org with many photos already up and running as well as association logos and content.

Im liking the simplicity of the site and it’s clean lines so far. Lots of tweaking to go though, so keep a look out for the refinements as they happen.

The speed of light… Almost

Right. So I’ve had a few brain-waves, mainly about loading speed so I’ve doen some tweaking and am hoping that this site is quicker to load than it was previously.
Any comments are welcome…. Is it faster?

I seem to be getting quite a few new jobs now including one from Hertford based builders RM Carpentry & Building and A project for Virtual Learning UK.
They’ll be ground up custom jobs with simple layouts and features.
I’m still yet to meet with the owners of Spur Petroleum in Waltham Cross but have a few ideas so far.
As you can see I’m about happy with Perfectly Clean But Simple but still have more photos and text to add from the owner.
Again, check back regularly to check how it’s going and I’ll try to keep you up to date!

Right then. Another job to come. This time for Hertfordshire home heating oil company Spur Petroleum.
This time looking less for content management and more a from scratch design.
It won’t be live for a little while yet, but I shall put it up once content and design is complete.
Watch this space!

Hello again!
I managed to find a handy little plugin to speed up loading times.
Seems to be working well so far!
I’m now looking to create some promo ads on the sidebar plus a newsletter sign up form on the sidebar as well.
Not looking streamlined just yet but it’ll get there in the next few days.

A Change of Heart…

So I got bored with what I had. Who doesn’t from time to time!?

Anyhow, I found a nice new skin with colours and layout that reflect my ethos of clean yet simple.

I’ve got the logo done which I like a lot more than my previous efforts.

I’m yet to get my completed work as part of a slideshow on the main page and also a page of templates in the prices/services page(s). This should be coming in the very near future.

Anyway, I hope you like it!
